CONCENTRATE

Behind these numbers is a puzzle.  Can you solve it? – Bah + Rock=Barack…O + Bomb + Ma= Obama  “Barack Obama”

If you can do that, you’ll have a chance to win!  Nothing like a true classic; it’s our Concentration style show!

Two contestants will play head-to-head in an attempt to create matches on a game board, which will in turn reveal sections of a rebus puzzle (a puzzle that uses images and/or letters which, when combined, spell out a phrase, person, place, or thing).  The first contestant to correctly solve the rebus puzzle wins the game!

The game board consists of 25 numbered boxes.  The first contestant selects two of the numbered boxes.  If the two boxes match, those two numbered boxes will be removed, revealing portions of the rebus puzzle.  A contestant will always have five seconds to guess the puzzle after making a match.  There is no penalty for submitting an incorrect guess to the puzzle.  If the contestant does not make a match from the two numbered boxes, control switches to the opponent, who then selects two more boxes.

Three of the boxes contain WILD! cards.  A WILD card will give the contestant an automatic match by finding the natural match to the prize.  After finding the natural match, the prize will be banked and those three boxes will be removed.  If a contestant finds more than one WILD card on a single turn, the contestant will earn a bonus $500 in addition to the prize that is eventually matched, and all such boxes will be removed.

Two boxes contain a TAKE!  If a contestant matches the TAKE boxes, they are allowed to take one of the prizes their opponent has banked.  They may use it upon receiving it or save it for later.

The first contestant to correctly solve the rebus puzzle will win the game and all prizes that they have banked during the game.  If all of the boxes on the board are removed and the contestant who made the final match cannot solve the puzzle in five seconds, their opponent will be allowed to guess.  If neither contestant can solve the puzzle at that point, the host will begin to break down the puzzle.  The first contestant to buzz in and give the correct answer will be the winner.  The winner will go to the Winner’s Board!

The Winner’s Board features only 15 boxes, and the object is for the contestant to make 7 matches in a certain amount of time.  We will provide a base time of 45 seconds.

The contestant will begin by choosing two numbered boxes.  If they match, a WIN! card will be revealed where those two boxes were.  If the boxes do not match, they will close back up.  The contestant will then choose two more boxes, attempting to make 7 matches before the time has expired.  If successful, the contestant wins whatever the final match made is!

*FOR ALL SHOWS: The main purpose for these shows is entertainment and fun, first and foremost.  While many of these games display large amounts of money and/or lavish prizes, we do NOT provide any such prizes for the games.  All parties are welcome to provide their own prizes/gifts that may be implemented in gameplay.  Below are simply some suggestions we have come up with in order to make the gameplay more interesting and/or competitive.

*ADD A SWAG BAG!: Want to play for real prizes?  Add a swag bag of awesome Eek! products to any gameshow package and award gifts as individual prizes or play for an ultimate prize package!

Determining Players 1 and 2 may be done via coin flip, drawing, etc.

If you wish to provide your own prizes, we can create the game board accordingly, for both the main game and the bonus game.

If you would like to create a more competitive form of the game without using actual prizes, the “prizes” on the game board (and bonus board) could all be different amounts of “money,” and the contestant who wins the most money is the big winner!  A WILD bonus of $500 would be more beneficial in this version.

Likewise, if you wish to use the money system AND bring prizes, you can use the “money” won as a currency to buy prizes.  For example, if a contestant wins a total of $2,000, they could trade that money in for a prize (say a $5 Starbucks gift card is worth $500, a $10 Amazon card is worth $1,500, a paid day off work is worth $2,000, etc.).  Again, you would need to provide these prizes, but we are happy to keep score for you.

Some boxes we suggest to use for “prizes” may be [5 BONUS SECONDS] or [10 BONUS SECONDS], which, if won, will add that much time to the clock in the bonus game.  Or a [CASH POT] prize, where a pot of money grows for every window revealed in the main game.

If you are simply looking to play for fun, but would like to include personal information as the “prizes” (i.e. the names of people playing, inside jokes, etc.), we’d be happy to include that information for the game.  Otherwise, hypothetical prizes and cars would be used just for fun.
