EYE SAY!

A game of memory and fun, just don’t let your eyes fool you!

Two contestants compete against each other in a game that combines trivia and memory.

The main game board consists of 9 total boxes (numbered 1-8 and the center box which reads “EYE GUESS”).  At the start of Round 1, we have THE REVEAL.

During THE REVEAL, all 9 boxes will drop and reveal answers to questions that will be read in Round 1 (except the center box, which will be blank).  THE REVEAL lasts for 8 seconds, during which the contestants try to remember where each answer appears on the board before they are covered back up.

Once the answers are covered back up, the first contestant (Benji) is read a question.  Let’s say the first question is, “Where would you most likely find Simone Biles?”

Benji must then decide which answer best fits that question and where on the board that answer lies (Contestants must guess the numbered box, not the answer itself).  Benji guesses “Number 2”.

Box #2 is then revealed.  The answer behind Number 2 is “On a Balance Beam”.  This is a correct answer and Benji receives 10 points for his correct guess.  Box #2 is then covered up again and Benji receives the next question.

Let’s say the next question is, “Where might you put Thousand Island dressing?”.  Benji thinks about the answers and then guesses “Number 4”.

The answer behind Number 4 is “On a Christmas Tree.”  Though amusing, this is an incorrect answer and control then goes to the other contestant (Kayla).

  • Benji is not penalized any points for giving an incorrect answer.
  • When control is given to the other contestant, they do not try to answer the same question.  Instead, they are given the next question in line.

At some point in the round, there will be a question whose answer does not match any of the 8 revealed answers.  In our example game, the question may be, “Where might a happy carnival patron sit?”

In this case, because none of the revealed answers match, the contestant may choose “EYE GUESS”.

The EYE GUESS box is then revealed.  If the contestant guessed correctly, the correct answer will be revealed and the contestant receives 10 points.

  • Contestants may choose EYE GUESS at any point during the game, but if the correct answer is one of the 8 previously revealed answers, the EYE GUESS box will reveal a blank space and control shifts to the other contestant.
  • Each round will contain 8 total questions.  One answer will always be the EYE GUESS box, and one of the revealed answers will not match any of the questions.  After all 8 questions are asked, any answers that were missed on the first read through will be asked again in the same order.  After the second read through, questions will not be asked again, whether they were answered correctly or not, and the round ends.

Round 2 begins with a new set of revealed answers and matching questions.  Gameplay continues as above, however correct answers in the second round are worth 20 points each.  The contestant who gave the last correct answer in Round 1 goes first in Round 2.

The contestant who reaches 100 points first, or is ahead after Round 2 is completed, wins the match and plays the MONEY BOARD!

On the MONEY BOARD, 7 of the numbered boxes contain a $100 bill.  One of the numbered boxes contains the STOP card.  The contestant tries to choose as many boxes with money as they can before finding the STOP card.

In the below example, the contestant won $400 before finding the STOP card.

If the contestant is able to find all 7 money cards in a row, the EYE GUESS box will reveal a bonus $300, bringing their total to $1000!

*FOR ALL SHOWS: The main purpose for these shows is entertainment and fun, first and foremost.  While many of these games display large amounts of money and/or lavish prizes, we do NOT provide any such prizes for the games.  All parties are welcome to provide their own prizes/gifts that may be implemented in gameplay.  Below are simply some suggestions we have come up with in order to make the gameplay more interesting and/or competitive.

*ADD A SWAG BAG!: Want to play for real prizes?  Add a swag bag of awesome Eek! products to any gameshow package and award gifts as individual prizes or play for an ultimate prize package!

A coin flip, drawing, etc. may be done to determine who guesses first in Round 1.

For larger groups, you may use teams instead of individuals.

On the TV gameshow, a contestant who guessed five correct answers in a row during the rounds were awarded a special prize.  You may implement this feature in your game if you wish, providing a prize for the contestant(s) who does so.
